"We are purposely writing this on Thanksgiving. We have just been reflecting on some beautiful and also tough times in our lives, and it feels so good to remember.

Maria and I have been together 28 years. In 2001, we made a decision that we wanted to have a family. Adoption was the means, and through some wonderful circumstances, JC became our adoption worker. We had nothing to compare it to, but when we say that she was with us every step of the way, that is an understatement. The care, the support and the guidance helped us navigate some of the most beautiful memories in our lives.  

From the preparation of the life books, the consistency in communication as we waited, the time spent in the hospital after our daughter was born, to the support once we took her home - JC was with us.
