Learn About Your Options

We're here to provide clear, honest information about all of your options whether that be parenting or making an adoption plan. The RTA Adoption Workers are licensed social workers who will help you explore what each option make look like and connect you with resources so you can make an informed decision that feels right for you.

Create a Plan

If you're considering adoption, we'll work with you to create a plan that reflects your needs, goals and values.  This includes discussing the type of adoptive family you're looking for, your preference for the level of ongoing contact with the adoptive family and any specific wishes for your baby.

Choose a Family

RTA has some of their adoptive families on the website, while others wish to only have their profile show directly to the birth family. RTA Adoption Workers will present our pre-screened waiting families who are excited to welcome a child. You can take your time to review families, ask questions directly or through our Adoption Workers, and choose a family that feels like the best fit for your child. You are always in control of your decision.

Once you have chosen the family for your baby, you may connect with them through email, texting, phone or video calls, or in person visits. You will chose the means and level of contact (if any). Your Adoption Worker will support you every step of the way to help facilitate communication based on your comfort level.

Plan for Birth and Services After Placement

RTA Adoption Workers will help you prepare for your hospital plan, answer questions about what to expect at the hospital, and review the next steps after placement. This includes guidance with legal paperwork and continued support beyond placement. Our goal is to help you feel informed, supported and confident as you move forward.
